Wei Changming has cast and hand-antiqued bronze-powder figures for 46 years in a one-man workshop in the Shiwan district of Foshan, Guangdong Province, China. He is 71 now. He pours each piece, cures it, then ages the patina by hand under a desk lamp. When bronze-look statuary stopped selling, he made the call to close the shop, and rather than crate his final castings away, he is clearing the last figures he will ever finish.
