The Halvorsen Wool Care Set

Wool doesn't wear out. It gets mishandled.

Detergent strips the lanolin, pills go untouched until they mat, and moths find it in August. Three problems, three things in one box.

• pH-neutral wool wash, 250 ml. Cleans without stripping the natural lanolin that keeps wool soft. Roughly 40 washes.
• Beechwood and brass cashmere comb. Lifts pills off in one pass instead of shaving the fibre down.
• Four aromatic red cedar blocks. Moths won't lay in cedar. Sand them lightly once a year and they work again.

Enough to keep a shawl, a throw and a favourite sweater right for years.
